Neo Ultra Q: First Ultra Show Returns After 47 Years

After being first aired in 1966, Ultra Q, the tokusatsu series that spawned the Ultraman franchise will make its return with Neo Ultra Q. It will be a 12-episode "second season" which will be aired next year.

In addition, the second and third Ultra series, Ultraman and UltraSeven, will have HD remastered editions that will run on WOWOW this August and winter, respectively. It will be a part of Tsuburaya Productions x WOWOW's Three Great Ultra Projects.

The 1966 science-fiction series Ultra Q was the brainchild of Tsuburaya Productions founder Eiji Tsuburaya, a special-effects director on the first Godzilla film and other classics. Tsuburaya has been called the "Father of Japanese Cinema Special Effects" and the "God of Special Effects." As Tsuburaya Productions' first in-house creation, Ultra Q featured 28 largely standalone episodes in the spirit of The Twilight Zone from America and other titles.

Final Fantasy III (PSP) Trailer

Final Fantasy III will be having its port for the PSP (This is one of my favorite FF games... and I no longer have my DS so... yay!). Originally released for the NES back in 1990 and after previously being remade for the Nintendo DS in 2006 and for iOS recently, this will be the first time Final Fantasy III will be ported to a Sony system.

Final Fantasy III will be available for 3,800 yen ($48) in stores or 3,300 yen ($41) as a PSN download on September 20. This port will have enhanced graphics, an option to play with the original NES music, and an auto battle mode, which would make leveling up jobs easier. It will also include a bestiary and other in-game data libraries.

Here's a few screenshots...

Pokémon Conquest English Trailer

Nintendo revealed a two-minute trailer for the upcoming release of Pokémon Conquest (a.k.a. Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition) at E3, June 5, 2012. It is a crossover between the Pokémon franchise and the Nobunaga's Ambition strategy role-playing game series.

Pokémon Conquest is slated to be released on June 18 for the Nintendo DS.

Producer Hisashi Koinuma said that the main story takes about 20 hours to complete, but there will be many free-form scenarios summing up about 200 hours of gameplay. The game features almost 200 Pokémon, including monsters from the recent Pokémon Black and Pokémon White titles.

Persona 3: Film Adaptation Confirmed

It was confirmed that Persona 4 the Animation -The Factor of Hope- ends with a footage wherein the protagonist of Persona 3 will be seen pointing an Evoker (device used to summon a Persona in P3 which resembles a gun) up to his head, firing it then saying that the production of a theatrical film version of Persona 3 has been green-lit.

The announcement did not explicitly say that the Persona 3 film will be an anime, although the Persona 3 protagonist in the footage was animated.

Skyrim: Dawnguard Trailer

A few months ago, Bethesda Studios released the Skyrim Creation Kit which provided endless fan-made content for the game. The Creation Kit, along with other add-ons such as Kinect Voice integration, improved kill animations, and horse combat brought the franchise into an overdrive.

But those are just few of what Bethesda has in store for us. Last month, they announced the first Skyrim expansion: Dawnguard.

Dawnguard is scheduled to be for release on June 26 for the Xbox 360 and no release dates yet for the PC and PS3 versions. The add-on revolves around the Dawnguard, an organization dedicated to hunting Vampires and stopping the return of the vampire Lord Harkon, who intends to use an Elder Scroll to permanently blot out the sun. The players can choose whether to aid the Dawnguard, or join the Vampires, becoming a Vampire Lord themselves in the process.

Here is the trailer  for Dawnguard:

From the beginning, the leaders of Bethesda made it clear that unlike with Oblivion (i.e: Horse Armor Expansion) they’re not going to release small pieces of DLC, instead they aim to provide “substantial” and large expansions (similar to Morrowind) for Skyrim.
