Neo Ultra Q: First Ultra Show Returns After 47 Years

After being first aired in 1966, Ultra Q, the tokusatsu series that spawned the Ultraman franchise will make its return with Neo Ultra Q. It will be a 12-episode "second season" which will be aired next year.

In addition, the second and third Ultra series, Ultraman and UltraSeven, will have HD remastered editions that will run on WOWOW this August and winter, respectively. It will be a part of Tsuburaya Productions x WOWOW's Three Great Ultra Projects.

The 1966 science-fiction series Ultra Q was the brainchild of Tsuburaya Productions founder Eiji Tsuburaya, a special-effects director on the first Godzilla film and other classics. Tsuburaya has been called the "Father of Japanese Cinema Special Effects" and the "God of Special Effects." As Tsuburaya Productions' first in-house creation, Ultra Q featured 28 largely standalone episodes in the spirit of The Twilight Zone from America and other titles.

Kamen Rider Fourze

What started as rumors more than a month ago is beginning to have a clearer picture. Before May 2011, word about the upcoming Kamen Rider series started. For the following weeks, a bunch of infos and images showed up around the net. Now the wait is over, take a first good look at the 13th Heisei Kamen Rider, Kamen Rider Fourze.

(Wait, I saw a Circle, Triangle, Square and an X. Is that a Playstation button reference?)

The second scan proves his so called "Rocket Punch", his Astronaut/Space themed design and his appearance in the upcoming Kamen Rider OOO movie.

Kamen Rider Fourze will start airing on September 4th.

All Kamen Rider Generation for the Nintendo DS

It seems like Okamiden won't chalk the demise of the Nintendo DS. Something big is still coming up... for Tokusatsu fans, that is.

Following games such as Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride Card Battle Taisen for the DS and Kamen Rider Climax Heroes OOO for the PSP, Bandai Namco Games will release another one entitled All Kamen Rider: Rider Generation (オール仮面ライダー ライダージェネレーション). It will be a side scrolling game featuring Ichigo to OOO with graphics nostalgic to those of earlier games (remember Kamen Rider Club for the NES? That's a good example).

All Kamen Rider: Rider Generation will be released in August 4, 2011

back then, there was Kamen Rider: Climax Heroes...

...now, Namco Bandai will be doing a Super Sentai crossover game. It's going to be called Super Sentai Battle Ranger Cross.

Remember the Kamen Rider Decade craze back in 2009? Just a bit of a back track, Kamen Rider Decade is the series to commemorate the 10th Heisei-era Kamen Rider featuring the 9 previous Riders since Kuuga (and some heroes from the Showa-era shows, I won't tell). Well, bottom line is that fans loved it. Old fans and those new to the Kamen Rider series alike.

It spawned 3 Kamen Rider: Climax Heroes games.

Now, let's fast forward to the year 2011. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.

This is the series for the 35th Super Sentai Anniversary. I've seen some episodes and personally, I'd say that some elements are similar to Decade... but it's a lot better. It features the new team, the Gokaigers, and all the previous Sentai teams since Himitsu Sentai Goranger.

And then, Super Sentai Battle Ranger Cross was recently announced.

Some reports states that the gameplay will be similar to Dynasty Warriors and will be released in Japan this fall. Also, Namco Bandai gave word that they will be working on a Power Rangers: Samurai game... Well then, let's just stay tuned and see how these games will turn out. Not much Super Sentai games were produced back in the old consoles and it'd be nice to see them in video game action.

Chou Kamen Rider Den-O Trilogy... wait, not ANOTHER ONE?!

Seriously, this is like the series' fifth, sixth and seventh film. I do remember Momotaros saying that the Saraba Kamen Rider Den-O movie is the final one and yet they've released a Decade/Den-O crossover... and then there's three more! Well, it seems like TOEI still had a lot of Den-O ideas on their vault that needs to come out.

By the way, Ryotarou Nogami, Sakurai Yuuto and the others will return!

Anyway, here's some images that I've found about the upcoming movies.

Previews of the (hopefully) last 3 Den-O Movies

Kamen Rider G Den-O? Insert Uchuu Keiji comment here...

Reiji Kurosaki... yep, you've guessed it. He's G Den-O

Kamen Rider Diend's... complete form... I know, it's not his series.

There's a lot of teaser images out there (I can't remember where I grabbed the ones here, sorry). Yes, it's another set of Den-O movies but, looking at the bright side, we'll see another adventure from the Kamen Riders, the Denliner crew and the Imajins...
